The edible seed kernels extracted from the ponds of water lily are dried, popped, roasted, processed, flavoured and are then consumed worldwide. The Mithila region of Bihar accounts for approximately 90% of the global production of Fox nut alone. The Government of India has recognized ‘Mithila Makhana’ under ODOP (One District One Product) category for Darbhanga district in Bihar giving immense boost in developing, marketing, branding, processing and increase in global supply chains and gave this edible seed a name in GI-tag (Geographical Indication tag) for its unique characteristics and origin.
We customise labelling and packaging of Fox nuts in different bag sizes depending upon the desired quantity sought by the clients.
